Here’s the exciting news! Finally, a new Instagram feature we all have been waiting to achieve is here. Whether you’re a content creator or a start-up business that wanted to spread more brand awareness to your products and services.

Instagram now allows creators to collaborate on posts and reels by sending an invitation to fellow creators or brands, thanks to this new feature called “Collab”.

Collabs allow you to ask someone to partner with you on a Feed post or Reel so they may share the content with their followers.

Before you read along, make sure your app is updated to the latest version, and follow these 4 easy and simple steps below:

Step 1. Launch Instagram and Select the type of post you want to collaborate.

To begin, launch the Instagram app. Tap the Plus icon in the upper right corner of your screen. You can collaborate your posts through Instagram reels, stories, posts, and even IG live.

Step 2. Select your image or video

After you select which type of post you want to publish, (Post, Story, Reel, or Live). You can choose the image or Instagram video you want to share, then hit Next when you’re done.

Editing choices will be displayed. If you want to alter your image or video, go ahead; otherwise, hit Next.

Step 3. Write a catchy caption and tap TAG PEOPLE.

This will lead you to a page where you have an option to tag or invite a collaborator. Tap the option, INVITE A COLLABORATOR for you to start collaborating.

Step 4. Invite a collaborator on Instagram

Search for people or Instagram usernames to co-author the Instagram collab post. When you invite a collaborator, once they have accepted, they can share your post on their profile grid and with their followers in Feed. If they do, they’ll be shown as another author on the post.

By clicking accept, your post will be shared on the collaborator’s profile and
their follower’s feed. You will also be shown as another author besides the
username of the collaborator.

Making your content look as though it was created by two accounts, you now have an option to work together on a single post or campaign. The capacity to lift one brand to another, influencers, or small business owners is one of my favorite “collaboration” features on Instagram. Also, both users will have access to the post’s data, comments, and even responses to the post. Making it more efficient when it comes to brand awareness.

Instagram collab could be one the coolest and most effective tools Instagram has ever made. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
